Based on 256 reviewsMuy Salsas consistently receives praise for its authentic Mexican cuisine, with customers highlighting flavorful dishes such as chilaquiles, street-style tacos, and traditional beverages like Cafe de Olla. The restaurant is noted for its vibrant, spicy salsas and well-balanced textures that enhance the dining experience. Taco Tuesdays are a popular feature, offering great value with smaller, flavorful tacos. Reviewers frequently commend the friendly and attentive service, as well as the welcoming, homey atmosphere. Despite busy times, food is served promptly and presented attractively. Overall, Muy Salsas is recognized for delivering genuine Mexican flavors paired with excellent hospitality, making it a recommended spot for both locals and visitors.
So disclaimer. I'm (Were) Mexican born. My wife and I enjoyed our Chiliquiles this morning. Verdes and Borrachos. The borrachos will wake you up. Very Spicy. The Cafe de Olla (Mexican coffee) was delicious. The papa's Mexicans also good. The owners came out to chat with us for a bit. Really nice people. We definitely Recommend this place. Ivan our server was really atentive. Real Mexican food. Is not that expensive either. We'll be back for dinner. Dinner. We came back the same day. But we brought our friends. Queso fundido- excellent texture. Nopal- mind you a staple vegetable in our home state of SanLuisPotosi. With a mole with a flavor profile and presentation deserving of a Michelin Star. Not kidding Tacos de Cochinita Pibil. Nice touch with blue maize tortillas. Excellent flavor. Cris , one of the owner oriented us with the salsas with a salsa tour. We had Spanish and Italian friends, so, it was warranted. Overall Excellent experience. Ivan, again, great service. Gracias.
We were lucky enough to get here for Taco Tuesday (1.50 street tacos). I loved the Al Pastor. The salsa was actually spicy too!
I have been to Muy Salsas on numerous occasions trying out different menu items and each one is as delicious as the previous. By far the best bang for your buck is Taco Tuesday during lunch. The tacos are street style size with onion, purple cabbage, and cilantro garnishment with the exception of the chicken mole. The textures play with each other and the salsas bring a nice heat binding all the flavors together. You can't go wrong with any of their tacos. When it comes to dinner plates, my favorite is the Ribeye con Mole. While I think the rib eye itself may be on the under season side, the mole helps pop the flavor of the steak. The Tuetano is also a great dish where dipping the beef fajita into the bone marrow gives a great succulent flavor. Mar Y Tierra Molcajete is a perfect dish to share when you want to sample the different flavors of meats. Queso Fundido with chorizo is an excellent appetizer of ooey gooey cheese that is melded in harmony with chorizo. The restaurant itself is cleanly and the atmosphere is bright and lovely. At times whether it be the rush hour of taco Tuesday or them being under staffed, the service can be slow at times. However, in general the service is excellent. This is by far my favorite restaurant in town for both lunch and dinner and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a delicious meal.
The service was phenomenal from start to finish.Very friendly, welcoming and homey atmosphere. The food is freshly made to order. The aroma of the food is heavenly and full of flavor. It's a must try. Authentic Mexican food.
The staff was friendly and fast despite it being a Tuesday (taco tuesdays are 1.50 tacos). I expected a wait, but food arrived not long after my order and it was warm, delicious, and looked presentable. Do note that during taco tuesdays, they use the smaller size tortillas. Was worth it and definitely recommend! Cool place, will be coming here often.
A high-quality dining experience for the price. Incredibly flavorful food presented brilliantly. The service stood out to me because they were almost closing but never rushed us and patiently gave us recommendations. I would highly recommend this place.
Tasty, fresh Mexican food. Plenty of options for everyone, including several vegetarian dishes (soy tacos, calabacitas tacos - my favorite - and a unique cactus and mole dish). Great chips and guacamole. My husband enjoyed his steak as well! Nice ambiance inside and friendly staff at this family-owned restaurant.
It doesn't look like much from the exterior, but this restaurant has a very cool vibe. It's nicely decorated and clean. The best part was the food. I got barbacoa and chicken sopes, and they were amazing! The barbacoa was not greasy or salty, I highly recommend it.
